There is much to say about this woman's artistic ability, something a brief testimonial can't approach with success, and yet the quality and level of the work itself, and the vision of the artist, the range of the skills and the depth of the impact the work elicits, begs such an attempt. And so I will try to do just that. There must be some point when photography crosses a line and become more than simply that, where it becomes and announces itself as art. Patty's work not only crosses that line, it leaves that line as little more than a scratch in the background of the artistic canvas of her wide-ranging and uncompromising imagery. She is brave, formidably accomplished, and for me, one of the most powerful and dynamic photographers I have been fortunate to discover.
