My name is Pat McKee and I am a freelance photographer based out of Murfreesboro TN. I specialize in action, sports, automotive, and documentary photography. I was born in Columbia, Tennessee but have lived in Murfreesboro since before I can remember.

My interest in photography stems from my interest in video which stemmed from my interest in skateboarding. I started skateboarding in middle school and would film and make skate videos with my friends to capture the moment. At the time I did not look at the videos I made as art, they were simply a way to document what me and my friends were doing on skateboards. One day I had an idea for a story that I wanted to tell. I used my video camera to tell the story and I made my first short film. It was terrible but it gave me a way to express my creativity when I had so much trouble with writing and illustration. I never made any more short films but I carried my camera everywhere and would film, not just skateboarding, but pretty much everything that I did with my friends. The fun came in trying to find ways to creatively capture events and happenings with friends wether it be a trip to a state park to swim and jump from cliffs or shooting fireworks on The Fourth of July. This led to my eventual interest in photography and my decision to attend Nossi College of Art to pursue it as a career. It was at Nossi that I was able to learn the technical side of photography and learn how much more photography had to offer than I had previously thought. I earned my Associates of Commercial Digital Photography in December 2012.

My passion is taking pictures with my friends, but my interest has since expanded to include many other types of photography, mainly events, automotive, and sports. I am available to shoot sporting events, concerts, and other on location photo shoots. I am very open minded and enjoy trying and learning new things. I look forward to enjoying the path that photography has given my life.
