Mother of three, wife of one. My grandparents were illustrators and my uncle designed paperback jackets, so I grew up around that particular type of art. I spent a year at the Art Student's League of NYC and fell in love with sculpting. I decided I needed to go to college and put the art behind me for a time. My undergraduate work was in in Social Work and Biblical Studies. Was pursuing a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Virginia Tech when the doctors discovered our oldest had a highly malignant brain tumor. That changed everything.

Currently I lead worship whenever I can get the work. It is something I thoroughly enjoy. I use my photographs to create backgrounds for the song lyrics I use in worship. I often do some heavy post processing on them to make them more compatible as backgrounds.

I can tell from the occasional comment that not everyone cares for the grunge/distortion effects, but well - to each his own. I enjoy experimenting and sharing what I have found. My family's background has given me a decent understanding of illustrative work, which is very different from the work of a photo journalist, which I don't aspire to.
