I am 50 years old European. Photography enthusiast. More technical than artist. My primary focus is on documentary photography. Buildings, streets, every day items, people in a city.

Photography since its beginning was a challenge for people. It was always about either making photography easier or creating highest quality picture for a given times. For high quality photos it was always about process of photography. About using methods giving best results.

Today we have extraordinary cameras both easy to use and very capable. But our technology has its limitations somewhere.

My photography is still about process of taking quality photos:

- about using different techniques to deliver a picture with higher quality than today's cameras can deliver.

- it happens that I spend hour or two for one photo and never less than 15 minutes

- to capture as many as possible details of documentary value

- and at last to add some esthetics to it like good time of day for best light

For this I usually capture multiple shots and combine them into multi-row panoramas. Taking usual stuff into account like composition, flash lights, etc.

My most often used tools are full frame DSLR, 105mm lens, computer with a lot of memory and open source software for Linux.

Almost all of my pictures can be considered SooC (Straight Out Of Camera). Only processing I do is applying tonal curve to RAW image and stitching multiple images. So it is even less then my Nikon camera does to JPEGs. Sometimes I do chroma de-noising.
