For me, photography is the creative outlet that balances my highly structured regular job. I've been taking pictures since my youth, but got serious again over the last few years. My interest now lies mostly in people photography in many varieties, be it studio or available light, indoors, outdoors. I'm still learning with every shot I take, and really appreciate the trust that my subjects put into me.

 

Recently, I also re-discovered film, and my love for old film cameras from the 70s, before plastic. I find it forces us as photographers back to thinking twice before taking a shot, and being really sure we want to push that shutter button. Together with the manual focus and the wait period for the pictures, I'm getting again a deeper connection to the image-making process versus the image-taking we gradually slipped into with digital.
