My passion for photography started a few years ago when my lovely wife bought me a Canon D450 for Christmas. As we all do, we use automatic modes at first as we cannot understand the manual. I went to night school and completed three courses of photography for beginners. I had a hunger to learn more. I then enrolled and completed a Diploma of Professional Photography with The Photography Institute based at Covent Gardens in London. I was always out and about with my camera till I had an accident. I cannot hold my camera because of nerve damage to my dominant right hand. You will see from my albums that most of my photographs are flower based. I have had to adapt to holding my camera in my left hand, focus with my left fingers and take the shot with my index finger on my right hand. I am now concentrating on product photography as I can do this from a chair, I use a mini tripod and a shutter release. I am blessed with a lovely wife who helps me 100% She carries my tripod and lenses to parks, assembles them for me so I can carry on with my passion.

For the last three years I have had to use an electric mobility scooter to get out and about to take photos. I have now got a couple of mature students who I'm teaching and loving the new freedoms.
