I paint old signs and posters. Yes...all by hand, mostly flat acrylic poster paints sometimes with a protective finishing topcoat or spray. REALLY like 1930's. REALLY like ALL hand lettering and can do anything I want. I have an extensive collection painted just as a hobby...not sure what to do with them just yet - but having just a few on flickr to share is a start and I will put more of these on one day.

In regard to the many aussie sign photos...I usually have a camera with me and so take whatever catches my eye, unfortunatley new quality hand painted - hand produced signs are scarce, vinyl and plastic rules... a lot of it is very ordinary.
