Hi ya'll!

It's always interesting to read or hear about how other photographers became interested in photography. Bird-watching was the spark that ignited my interest in photography. I soon realized I wanted to do more than just look at the birds through my binoculars - I wanted to preserve their beauty - so I purchased an Olympus 620 and a 70-300 lens and a love affair developed! It didn't take long before I was thinking how cool it would be to take close-up shots of insects and flowers and so I had to get a macro lens. Then I started noticing how beautiful the landscape was around me and - you guessed it - I had to buy a wide angle lens. Now I am focusing on portrait photography and have set up a small studio in my home. Of course I had to buy a portrait lens! After a few years with my Olympus gear I purchased a Canon 7D which I am now using.

Thanks to all that have commented on my photos; it is great to receive feedback on your work. I thoroughly enjoy looking at everybody's pictures here on this site. There are so many amazingly talented people!
