After a seemingly uninterrupted spell in fashion merchandising, Michelle escaped to explore the world of self-employment.

Along the way, she found herself deeply immersed in the world of children, starting not one, but two businesses related to children, a children’s indoor soft play centre and an online children’s birthday party supplier.

Whilst pursuing these two businesses, Michelle also became a mother. As a working mother and founding partner of two successful businesses, people often ask her, with a snappish look in their eyes; ‘How do you juggle it all?’, ‘I suppose you’re messing it all up, aren’t you?’ their eyes say.

Her standard answer is that “I have the same struggle as any working parent but with the good fortune to be working at my dream job. Or sometimes I just hand them a juicy red apple and tell them to ‘take a seat on the naughty step’.”
