Partha is a mechanical engineer by profession. It was his wife who discovered his talent in photography. She inspired him to purchase a camera in the year 2001 and since then Partha is nurturing his passion in photography deeply.

 

His photographs were published in Popular Photography of New York, Hindustan Times, Penguin book covers, Sanctuary Asia, leading photography magazines of India like Better Photography, Times Journal of Photography, Asian Photography, Smart Photography, and various travel magazines.

 

Since 2007, Partha has been receiving recognitions from various competitions and exhibitions from around the world, Grand Prize winner in Meaningful Travel Photography contest 2007, Runners Up in People Section of RITZ Camera Big Print Capture Your World Photo Contest 2007, 1st Prize winner in Photocomp, Australia, 2008, Runners Up in Epson Colour imaging photo contest 2008 to name a few.

He organised his first Solo Exhibition A Tribute to the People of Birbhum at his hometown in January, 2006 and one of his photographs was selected by the Jury Members for Exhibition organised by Photo Division, Government of India upon the theme Spirit of Independent India in February, 2007 in New Delhi.

Partha lives in Kolkata with his wife and 17 year old daughter.
