I was born in Fernandina Beach Florida in.....um....err.....a long time ago.

Art has been a pass time for me sense the 2nd grade. I think it started when my teacher entered a finger painting I had done in a city wide children's art contest. My entry was called "The Monster Who Attacked the City". It won 2nd place.

I think I satisfied my artistic side for 30 years as an aircraft metal smith. You may wonder how aircraft and metal could do that. Well, to take a raw peace of metal stock and form it into a functional part of an aircraft is art. Not just anybody can do it. One has to have an artistic inclination to form curve and line. Be able to visualize the end product in your mind. One has to know the properties of the material being worked with. All these things, and more, come together to produce that functional peace of art. Just the same as a painter or sculptor considers the processes they will use, so do the craftsman.

Now I am to ill to do aircraft work any more. So I have rediscovered my love for drawing and making of art. Now I return to the basic drive that has endured all these years.

I live in Bernalillo, NM and like it pretty good. Some of my works are hanging in galleries downtown Albuquerque. I am also working on getting some of my work displayed in local restaurants. Also I have one work submitted for an art show in Albuquerque this Nov. 2009. Wish me luck on that.
