The Patagonia Area Resource Alliance is a grassroots non-profit of volunteer community members committed to preserving and protecting the Patagonia, Arizona area.

PARA recognizes that the health and economic prosperity of our community of Patagonia is tied deeply to the well-being of the Patagonia Mountains. The mountains are the source of our water, clean air and the centerpiece for the tourism that drives our local economy.

Our Mission:

To stop destruction by mining in the Patagonia Mountains, Canelo Hills and San Rafael Valley.

To protect and preserve the Patagonia area drinking water from pollution and depletion by mining activities.

To work hand in hand with other organizations and area businesses to promote a thriving community that’s economically stable and environmentally sustainable.
