We are trying to raise £30,000 for our local scout groups in Blyth Valley to hold their 20th Anniversary Gang Show in 2012. We are doing this by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest chain of paper dolls!

This appeal will also raise money for participating schools across the country – over 15,000 schools nationwide have been invited to take part, and they will retain 50% of the moneys raised - and community groups nationwide.

The current record is held by the European School in Mol, Belgium. The record currently stands at 27,664 paper dolls, measuring 1,362.4 metres long.

Guinness World Records Limited ™ have confirmed our attempt to break this world record.

Our target is 30,000 dolls , and we will be having a special event day on Saturday 8th October 2011 at Concordia Leisure Centre in Cramlington, Northumberland.

We will present the chain and have it verified, as well as revealing how much was raised. There will also be stalls, refreshments, entertainment and more.
