I have been an avid photographer since my teenage years. Up to a few years ago, I shot exclusively 35mm color slides, and have accumulated tens of thousands of 35 mm slides. I now am a digital enthusiast, and my primary photography equipment is the Pentax K10 DSLR with the Pentax 18-250 mm lens.

 

Over the years I had been an active member of Camera Clubs in both Wisconsin and Massachusetts, where I had competed regularly in monthly and annual color slide categories, presented slide programs, as well as served as a photographic judge in area camera club competition circuits.

 

My enjoyment in Flickr has come in part from sharing my nearly 50 years of photographic experience (a few recent and older examples are provided below, with links provided to many others in some sets and elsewhere in my photostream).

 

I also enjoy showcasing the fine photographic work of other Flickr members who have provided me with much personal joy and pleasure. I do the latter by administering groups and curating galleries on photographic subject matter that has particular interest to me. I make what I hope are valuable contributions to other Flickr users through comments, and by assigning a comprehensive system of tags to all photos in some of my groups that facilitate the viewing of all images within the group having similar subject matter.
