Paolo Maggiani è fotografo carrarese stimato e apprezzato per la sua fotografia attenta all’analisi dei particolari che sfuggono all’occhio, attraverso personali inquadrature e prospettive che risaltano le forme, i colori e i loro contrasti e/o armonie. Egli è attento alle vicende umane che da sempre accompagnano gli uomini apuani in stretta simbiosi con il paesaggio dintorno e le caratteristiche cave di marmo. Con la sua paziente presenza riesce a cogliere le sfumature degli scenari naturali e urbani e il loro rapido modificarsi causato dall’evolversi della luce nel ciclo diurno e stagionale. Nulla sfugge al fotografo che riesce ad impressionare sulla pellicola complicati bilanci di colore nel tramonto o nell’alba, nel passaggio dal regno del sole a quello della luna o viceversa. V’è nelle sue fotografie un qualcosa di primordiale e di essenziale che rivela delle cose il loro essere più profondo, conferendogli come una vita propria e un valore inestimabile; dalle sue visioni prospettiche viene messa in risalto la relazione che le lega, facendo apparire in un tutt’uno armonioso il mondo che siamo soliti vedere come disarticolato, integrando tra loro lavoro umano e natura.

Paul Maggiani is a photographer Carrara respected and appreciated for his photograph careful analysis of the details that escape the eye, through personal shots and perspectives that highlight the shapes, the colors and their contrasts and / or harmonies . He is attentive to human events that have always accompanied the men apuani in close symbiosis with the landscape surroundings and features marble quarries. With his patient presence captures the nuances of the natural and urban scenarios and their rapid change caused by the evolution of the light in the diurnal cycle and seasonal. Nothing escapes photographer who manages to impress on the film complicated budgets of color in the sunset or dawn, in the transition from the realm of the sun to the moon or vice versa. There is in his pictures something primal and essential things that reveals their deepest being, giving it as a life of its own and is invaluable; from his perspective views it is emphasized the relationship that binds them, making it appear in a harmonious whole world that we are used to see how disjointed, integrating their work between human and nature.
