I live in Sydney, presently collecting lenses that I can adapt on my Panny GH1 ,Pentax Q and Sony AR7. Using the old legacy lenses on new digital bodies may be anathema but it is something personal with me. I listen to jazz trios on my tube stereo, love parrots,in awe of nature and completely enamoured by digital photograph, although I am tempted to return to film photography as it is more complex. As of May'14, 12 months have passed since I joined flickr and I have been honing my photography skills. I am now using a Sony RX100, A7R in addition to the Panny GH1and Pentax Q and am loving every minute of it. I try to carry either the RX100 or the Pentax Q with me at all times. I think it's great to comment on other people's work and have comments made. I am completely astonished by the level of skill and creativity of the flickr community. It is what inspires me to challenge myself and my pre-conceived notions of what is photography-in 2014??? After seeing Eugene Atget's exhibition I had a compulsion to photo various heritage buildings and to annotate them for the ever changing skyline of Sydney may just swallow them up one day. I also have been photographing the evoving skyline of Sydney as it grows taller and taller.

Soon I will be shooting a bit of film and it's going to be fun too, in a way I shall be returning to my roots. For this I want to thank the ardent film shooters who have continued this tradition for the pendulum is certainly swinging to film again. Although I love the convenience and adaptability of digital photography, in this flickr world there is room for all.

I think flickr is a fantastic community, I have turned many times to various people for help and advice and so if there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to contact me.I’d like to thank all of you that are following me and have consistently faved and commented on my photo stream.

Frankly speaking without you-I would exist in a void.

I am awed, grateful and humbled that I have you all to consider as my own personal community.

You have given me the strength and resolution to continually improve and challenge myself. Finally I'd like to share something with you all who are reading this which sums up my stance particularly on Faving.

Numbers of faves is more than just recognition, it counts most towards interestingness and allows possible access to many prestigious groups at Flickr. Wouldn't it be nice to get on Explore?

In ending I would like to quote Caterina Fake one of the founders of Flickr recently wrote on her blog, “What is more thrilling than an entire hall of expectant eyes, what more overwhelming than applause surging up to us? What, lastly, equals the enchantment sparked off by the delighted attention we receive from those who profoundly delight ourselves? – Attention by other people is the most irresistible of drugs. To receive it outshines receiving any other kind of income. This is why glory surpasses power and why wealth is overshadowed by prominence.”
