I'm a writer and high tech marketer. I've worked full-time for Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk and others. I live in Sausalito and am currently consulting primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I play music and love to travel.

I've lived mostly in the Western U.S.--California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, New Mexico and Texas, but also in Italy and Austria.

My photos reflect my diverse interests, ranging from travel and street photography to landscapes, food and wine. I try some unusual stuff sometimes, too.

I have a sailboat in Sausalito and also volunteer as the Webmaster for the Spaulding Wooden Boat Center in Sausalito (www.spauldingcenter.org), hence the large number of sailing photos.

Some of the pics are from a travel article I did about truffles, food and wine in Italy.

I'm shooting these days mostly with a Nikon D70, but some of the pics are with other digital cameras or a Nikon 8008s. I sometimes lust after a medium format camera, such as a Mamiya or Pentax 6x7, but am discouraged by the weight of a whole new camera kit--after recently spending two weeks lugging my D70, lenses, laptop etc. around Italy!
