I bought my first camera about 35 years ago so photography has been a lifelong interest and since retiring I have devoted more time to so, I suppose, it’s a proper hobby now. I hope that I am still learning and like to spend time understanding how gifted photographers compose and create really good images and for this, I am grateful to those that I follow on Flickr for endless possibilities. I have had lots of cameras over the years and sold up two sets of SLRs and lenses settling 2014 on Micro 4/3. However, I bought a Fuji X100s 2015, X100F 2017, and currently a Fuji XE-3 which I am very pleased with. Topics of interest are many but recently long exposure in B/W seems to fascinate me on an experimental basis.

I am also interested in legacy images and am the creator of a website for the OldSouthwellians an organization set up to bring together the pupils of the various Schools that have preceded the current Minster School in Southwell Nottinghamshire. I am using Flickr to house old and contemporary photos that would be of interest to Society. Some are very old (back to the 1890s) and in poor condition. You can find it under :-
