Pacoima Beautiful is a resident-driven, bilingual, multi-cultural, community-based organization located in the northeast San Fernando Valley in the City of Los Angeles. Pacoima Beautiful’s mission is to empower the Pacoima community through programs that provide environmental education, advocacy and local leadership in order to foster a healthy and safe environment. Initially founded in 1996 by five residents, Pacoima Beautiful reaches thousands of residents annually through the following focus areas:

* Pollution Mitigation and Reduction

* Land Use and Open Space Planning

* Safer Homes for a Healthy Community

* Pacoima Beautiful Youth Environmentalists

Pacoima Beautiful has a history of bringing together residents, organizations, university faculty and classes, elected officials and regulatory agencies around environmental justice and environmental health issues in the community and working toward positive change.
