I know Pablo's work through Fotolog. When I did my "30 Days of Dedications" thing there, he was one of those being honored. Man, take a look through this photostream and you'll see why. His work reminds me of my favorite movie, "2001: A Space Odyssey" - specifically the sequence at the end where Bowman unites with the monolith on a trippy ride through space/time. Pablo's shots reflect colors, shapes, energy, and light that fuse to create this psychedelic experience, just like in the film. Go rent it, you'll see what I mean. Anyway, I am seriously impressed with this man's talent. And as a matter of fact, one of my fave shots on Flickr (period) is one he took at the Milwaukee art museum entitled "2822720-R2-E039" without even looking through the cam! What are you doing wasting time reading this? Go look!

.if i were asked to describe pk's photography with one word, it would be "control". .control of angles, lighting, color, and most importantly, atmosphere. seemingly mundane images that are given an incredible amount of thought and detail. i constantly learn by example, and aim to near this level of perfection in this mode of expression. .his photography is defintely a benchmark in minimalism. a word to the wise: take note, and keep an eye on this guy. he WILL impress.
