My name is Paolo, I was born in Livorno, a small town on the west coast in the centre of Italy. I come from a family of art enthusiasts. My parents taught me the first rudiments of drawing and painting. Drawing has always been my greatest passion, from childhood it was one of my preferred games, so much so that I enrolled myself at an art school in my town, in order to cultivate my natural abilities.

 

Over time I have tested many techniques, utilizing pastels, pencils and oils. I have exhibited my pictures occasionally at art exhibitions in Tuscany, receiving positive reviews. I am always bewitched by portraits. It is the impression that emerges that attracts me, it is provocative, succeeding in reproducing intensity in a glance; evoking emotion in whoever observes the finished work.

 

When I paint I feel that I am transported into another dimension. Imagination slowly takes form before my eyes, I don't think of anything else and concentrate only on the work that I am executing at that moment.

Il mio nome è Paolo e sono nato a Livorno, in Toscana.

 

Provengo da una famiglia di amanti dell'arte. I miei genitori mi hanno insegnato le prime nozioni di disegno e pittura.

Disegnare è sempre stata la mia più grande passione, da bambino era uno dei miei giochi preferiti, tanto che mi iscrissi ad una scuola di disegno della mia città, coltivando le mie capacità naturali.

 

Nel tempo ho sperimentato molte tecniche, utilizzando pastelli ad olio, matite acquerellabili, pennarelli e la pittura ad olio. Ho esposto i miei lavori in occasione di mostre e manifestazioni ottenendo vari riconoscimenti.

 

Sono da sempre affascinato dai ritratti, mi attrae l'espressività che ne emerge. E' stimolante riuscire a riprodurre l'intensità di uno sguardo, dare un'emozione a chi osserva il lavoro terminato.

 

Quando dipingo mi sento in un'altra dimensione. L'immagine lentamente prende forma sotto i miei occhi, non penso ad altro, mi concentro solo sul lavoro che sto realizzando.

Je m'appelle Paolo. Je suis né à Livorno en Toscane, d'une famille d'amateur d'art, ce sont mes parents qui m'ont enseigné les premières notions de dessin et de peinture. Déssiner a toujours été ma passion; mon jeu préfèré étant enfant au point d'être inscrit dans une école de dessins de ma ville à fin d'améliorer mes dons naturels.

 

En même temps j'ai expérimenté plusieurs techniques du pastel à la peinture à l'huile, à l'aquarelle. J'ai eu l'occasion d'exposer mes travaux dans differentes galeries et manifestations aù j'ai recueilli de nombreux hommages.

Je suis toujours fasciné par les portraits, m'attire l'expression qui en ressort, c'est l'intensité d'un regard à donner une émotion, il est stimulant de réussir à reproduire pour terminer le travail.

 

Quand je peins j'éprouve une autre dimension. Sous mes yeux doucement l'image prend forme et isole mon esprit et me concentre seulement sur le sujet que je suis en train de réaliser.
