Phillips Academy Archives and Special Collections is open to the general public interested in research into the history of the school or use of the rare books collection.

Images we post on flickr are copyright Phillips Academy, Andover. You do not need to request permission to download or print one copy of any of the images for your personal private study, research purposes or for publication as long as attribution is given to Phillips Academy.

Nearly all the scanning of images posted here is done by Archives staff; other photographers are noted. We are not trained photographers and don't have much time each week for digitization but try to respond to researchers' scanning requests in a timely manner. All imaging is done on request, which explains the non-linear order of images appearing online. Most images we upload to flickr are low-resolution files; higher resolution TIFs are available of many of these images.

Equipment: the scanner is an Epson V700. Some items are scanned on a iVina FB6080E book scanner.
