Hey there!

I was born, raised and educated in Romania, but now I'm based in Kathmandu, Nepal and I follow a dual career path. In my humanitarian and development organization, I am Dr. Paula Bulancea, working to prevent parent-to-child transmission of HIV. When I'm not on mission to dozens of countries as part of my humanitarian work, I am a travel photographer, exploring new places and the lives of people around the world. As a physician and public health specialist, I try to change people’s perceptions and attitudes about HIV. As a photographer, I try to influence people’s view of the world. My work, as well as my sense of curiosity and passion for photography, has taken me to many locations throughout Asia, but also to Europe and the United States. I hope that my photographs reflect my journey of discovery and creative exploration that documents the people and places that I encounter during my travels. While on the road with my camera, I aim to portray a location’s energy, vibrant colors, culture, and the raw emotions of the people I photograph. Look forward to sharing my photo hobby with you and to learn as much as possible from you.
