For ages I've held back in creating a flickr account until I realised that there is probably little point getting out there and taking photographs if they are never going to see the light of day. Sure, my friends "enjoy" them when I tie them down to a chair and forcibly glue their eye-lids open for a slide show, but let's face it - very few of us are ever going to have a best-selling coffee table book.

So I'm showing off some of what I think are my better images to the world.

Why? Ego, really. :-)

Most of the images are shot in and around the city of Sydney. For those not familiar with the city, as well as what's been described as one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, Sydney also has world-famous beaches to the east as well as spectacular mountains to the west. Drive for a couple of hours and you are away from the city, either on a quiet beach, surrounded by vineyards or in farmland that stretches as far as the eye can see.

If you copy any of these images that I have chosen to post on the Internet in high resolution, I will obviously hunt you down and destroy you. I will be forced to pursue you through the courts and serve DCMA notices on your grand mother. I may even set the full force of the President of America (and therefore the Free World) on you - but only if he is played by Denzel Washington. I know I can do this because I read it on the Internet. :-)
