All of my photos are taken with a Canon EOS Rebel XT

with a Sigma 70 300 APO Macro/Zoom lens. By next spring I hope to add another lens or 2, but for now the Sigma is a great lens.

** Concerning post production of my photos. I do run them through photoshop primarily to crop and downsize the image. I am new at this, and my early photos usually needed the whites balanced and I would use a gray transparent layer to accomplish this ( less so as I learn). Only very rarely do I zoom out an image, mainly because it always detracts from the detail of the photo.

 

After uploading to Flickr, for most pics I sharpen the image some with Picnik.

 

Also, some have asked about the EXIF data. At first I thought they were talking about a shot of the subject headed in another direction, but have since learned different. All I can say is my Flickr account is set receive and display the exif, and I can find no reference in my Rebel XT manual. If you want this, you will have to instruct me how to do it.

 

Oh, and you might have guessed, I really really like Hummingbirds and am fortunate to live where they are abundant.
