I am Brent Leimenstoll and I live in Michigan along the western shores of Lake Erie.

A few months back I was beginning to get more involved in photography and digital imagery. I decided to see what I could possible do with some of the images when I came across and article about using textures to enhance images. After a few weeks of mixing and matching textures downloaded off the internet I decided to capture a few of my own and incorporate them into some of my images.

I soon became fascinated with textures; their various colors, details and intricacies. Soon I was capturing hundreds a day (with a little help from photographic OCD) and bringing them home to use. I bought a new computer in order to hasten the enhancement and manipulate them as well. After that I bought a new DSLR and was well on my way to becoming a texture fanatic.

So now here we are. I hope to add several dozen new textures a week, God willing, so that this can become a one-stop shop for free, high-quality, high-resolution textures for anyone that wants to go crazy on them like I did.
