I hail from New Market, Alabama in the United States. I have spent the last 23 years as a soccer coach (because coaching only paid me a few hundred dollars a year at best, I also had to get a real job,,,,,working as a Mechanical Designer).

I recently had to file for Social Security Disability due to Parkinsons Disease and Neuropathy. I just found out I also have Fibromyalgia too. Since I am at home almost all of the time now, I needed something to do to keep me from going stir-crazy. Flickr gives me that something to do. Instead of being trapped in the house, everyday I go all over the world with flickr. The computer is great, it more than makes up for what the hands can no longer do.

Every cloud does have a silver (or sometimes gold, if you look hard enough) lining. My physical condition has slowed my step. This has enabled me to develop the patience I didn't have before. Now I have slowed down enough to "smell the roses". They sure smell sweet!
