I have been fortunate enough to have resided in Montana the past 40 years and have come to enjoy it more with each passing year. I've yet to tire of exploring the highways, backroads, and backcountry trails across the state. Photographing the post offices of the state has become a passion, along with collecting postal history of Montana.

Great collection of photos and postmarks. Do you have a postmark from McCone City? It was a temporary town for dam workers during the construction of the Fort Peck Dam. I’m not sure if they even had a post office.

I love your pictures, especially of the Montana prairie. My parents grew up in Malta and I believe my mother attended the Lovejoy Schoolhouse which was moved from from the Stine homesteads. I have several Lovejoy postmarks myself. Do you have photo of Fanning Hill Rd? Infamous in family lore.
