My involvement with photography has been long and, I think, pretty exciting. Retired now, I have been a working photographer earning my living with different cameras for over 30 years and have been fortunate enough to been given awards for some of my work.

The study of photography and sharing that knowledge with others has always been important to me, and to that end I have taught photography at several different schools, lectured on photography and acted as a judge for many organizations and currently write a weekly newspaper photography column and a blog solely for those interested in digital technology.

Although my experience with photography began at a time ruled by darkened rooms and containers filled with chemicals, I have embraced today’s technology with its abundance of options and amazing control.
