Land Rover Our Planet
Drag to set position!
What is the first thing that pops into your mind when thinking of Land Rover vehicles? Big, bulky machinery made for traversing difficult terrain? Maybe flashy, expensive vehicles not really designed for being economical and environmentally friendly? Well, believe it or not, but Land Rover is more than that. In fact, Land Rover and its vehicles are more environmentally friendly than you think, and bold steps have been taken in the mission to become even more environmentally involved.
The Land Rover Company was formed over 60 years ago, and has always had quite a unique relationship with the planet. And great things are happening now more than ever. Land Rover has for a long time been the vehicle of choice for explorers, conservationists, environmentalists and scientists all over the world.
But the main goal of Land Rover has shifted: from designing state of the art vehicles built for tackling tough conditions, to building vehicles that protect our environmental heritage for future generations. So why the change? Well, due to the change in climatic conditions, plus various other environmental factors, Land Rover has decided to get involved in projects to help make the world a brighter, safer and cleaner place to live.
This is done by focussing on four key areas affecting our lives and the environment in general: Environmental Technology, Sustainable Manufacturing, CO2 Offsetting, and Conservation and Humanitarian Projects.
Using their clout in the industry, Land Rover has managed to get the ball rolling, and it won't be long before other companies start following suite. With such innovative projects being done and many in the pipeline, we can definitely look forward to a better and brighter future thanks to Land Rover.
