La Vita. Sì, con la V maiuscola. La Vita. Ecco quello che le tue foto raccontano a piene mani, scatto dopo scatto, giorno dopo giorno... Sono rimasto a guardare la foto THE MAIL per minuti interi, affascinato da qualcosa che non saprei spiegare... Si sente l'amore che nutri per le persone, per il mondo che ti circonda, per la Vita (ecco, daccapo la Vita)... Le tue foto trascendono dall'ordinario come solo i grandi possono fare, rimangono lì, come fari lungo il cammino che ogni fotografo che si rispetti deve intraprendere, e diventano paletti che delimitano quello che noi chiamiamo Fotografia... Non ho avuto il piacere di conoscerti, credo siamo della stessa terra (sono nato a Cosenza e, spesso, torno alla vecchia casa che ho ad Aprigliano), ma guardare le tue foto è come iniziare a comprendere quello che sei, come guardi il mondo e come ti affascina... I don't know what to say to someone who's work inspires me, makes me see the world and it's people in a new way, makes me wonder and dream, I wish for better words to express what the last ten days of exploring your photography has done to me. It's a sad day for me when a great book ends, when the sun dies at the end of a great day, and when I gazed upon your last photograph here. Thank you seems so weak to describe my gratitude for what your pictures have given me. I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable to receive so much more than praise, it often makes people feel so. It would me. I no longer search for technical perfection, I no longer care what equipment I use. I'll always and forever look at photography in a new light. I have to find a new way to share what I see in the world through pictures. Another beginning for me, a new age, I see now, in people, the warmth and feeling my photography never had. I am changed.

Every time I see one of Osvaldo's photos I write a testimonial in my mind. I think it's time to write one for the record. Osvaldo creates emotions and feelings in me when I see his work. Sometimes it is in a facial expression or a certain look in the eyes of his subject that he's captured. His images are not just colors in an organized fashion, they are moments in life filled with irony and meaning. If pictures say 1,000 words, then Osvaldo creates photo-poetry.

Osvaldo doesn't put labels in anyone or anywhere. his hands, his roots are his own branches. here, in Africa, wherever u give him land to work the earth. and from the earth people comes. 1 person and another. and another one. he knows that we are all different. he knows that we are all equally different. and his photos are not more than that: the respect that Osvaldo has for each one of us. u can be blind, and u'll learn one day how to see (the) earth with this unstopable guy. Osvaldo doesn't come up with people. he brings us person by person, each one with his most natural expression. each one with his own inner. Osvaldo doesn't photograph people. he stills inners that he shares with his hands. in earth... in our earth. maybe Osvaldo is not a photographer... his eyes are too busy feeling what so many ppl can't feel or understand. and photography is also his way of sharing... hands. his hands. his roots... in our earth.
