JumpstART provides an exciting summer Precollege Visual Arts Workshop sponsored by the Department of Art at Oregon State University. The program is designed for talented young artists, ages 15 to 18, who have demonstrated a heightened interest in the visual and performing arts seeking an opportunity to increase their skills.

JumpstART students spend six hours daily in art classes, providing an opportunity for focus and concentration. The superb quality of instruction and facilities, as well as a university atmosphere in which all students are self-motivated, makes for an exceptional living/learning environment. During the course of three weeks, JumpstART students can work in Drawing, Painting, Digital Media, Sculpture, and Printmaking.

The unique inter-disciplinary learning structure of shared concepts between the arts is reinforced by an exciting visiting artist program. Students meet, and in many cases, work with artists, designers, musicians and actors who have made their living creating and performing.
