Since my schooldays I have always had a desire to get creative with photography, although I never really had a quality camera, or could afford to until recent years.

My real introduction to photography came with a Pentax Spotmatic film camera, which came with several lenses via my wife. My transition to digital was influenced by my profession as a web designer/ developer, (although I do not use my photography as part of my regular job). My choice of digital camera (Pentax), was influenced by the fact that I already owned several Pentax M42 lenses, and knowing the quality of photos I was used to, wanted to keep using them.

The work I publish is mainly for fun, to stretch myself artistically, and sometimes an attempt to document the world around me that I find interesting. My main interests are trains, nature and outdoors, and family.
