Oscar Angulo is known for his sculptures of monstrous creatures made from recycled materials. Although his primary medium is metal, Oscar also works with fabrics, wood, plastic, and paper craft. His inspiration for his creations stems from his exposure to Gothic culture, grim fantasy, and dark lore. His subject matter is mainly comprised of demons, monsters, and dragons. Oscar refers to these creatures as 'Scavengers' in order to pay homage to the creations he and his brother came up with in their childhood. “When my brother and I would play an online game, we simply would hoard all the goods for ourselves and use them to hinder the other players. We then became known as Scavengers for our scampering nature.”
