Aldo is a wonderful human being. He looks at the world with curiosity, compassion, humor and joy, and those qualities permeate his images, whether they are of the Chilean countryside, the lives of dogs in the big city, or the Persa Bio Bio flea market where I had the great pleasure of photographing with him during my short visit to Santiago. His photography is not just great today, it will endure as a rich testimony of his time and place.
