Drag to set position!
I am influenced, inspired and somehow affected by the Urban Landscape around me, traffic lights and signs, become the fabric in which our urban environment is woven. These things that make up our daily surroundings are taken for granted, often overlooked, visually discarded, they become a stage set, a distant backdrop against which we play out the daily drama of our day to day urban existence. But it is the visual effects of time wearing on those structures that speak to me. The patina that results from years of weather; the cracks, graffiti, stains and rust, rendering these objects visually rich unto themselves. It is the alchemy between what is earthbound and what is not, what is transient and what is solid, and between those two is the rich matrix of shadows that are sometimes a result of that mix.
Intrigued by empty space, interested in the message between the lines. I try to move at an ant's pace sometimes experiencing life as nothing more than a square foot of color. For me, it's all about conveying emotion and telling their story - photography allows me to do this visually.
I didn't seriously pick up a camera till 2003, and from there, I have been continuing to expand my skills through attending classes and master workshops. My work can be viewed in local galleries and private collections.
