If only I could get "Your account has been reviewed as Mostly Harmless by Flickr staff."...

I started out with an Olympus OM10 in the late 1980s. It was fiddly so I replaced that with an Olympus OM2. It was excellent!.... but I caught a lizard in the Caribbean and handed the OM2 to someone to take a snap and they didn't get it in focus! :-( so I got a Nikon 6006 when my son was born so that autofocus snaps could be taken by anyone in the family. That got stolen in a burglary...

I bought a used Nikon D100 for my son when he was doing A-Levels... it was failing (may just need a service - the mode switch doesn't work - it flits from M to A on its own constantly.... works fine in P for now) so is replaced by a Nikon D90 :-)

Also using a Kodak Z650 Zoom which is really handy but no manual focus... so I ditched it and got a Canon G9...

...and now use a Nikon D700 for serious shots :-)

...and my HTC Desire was great for snaps! Now using Samsung Galaxy Nexus and S3.

I tend to take snaps when I notice something which pleases my sense of the aesthetic. Sometimes, I decide a shot will be interesting and strive to arrange it. It's rare that I ask people to pose for me. I rarely do any post processing. Sometimes I crop and straighten, but very rarely.
