I'm a North Dakota girl who lived in Montana for ten years, returned to the prairie for four years, and then headed to the north shore of Minnesota for further adventuring!

 

I love to photograph old/abandoned things to keep the memory of them alive, to preserve the memory of things from the past that might not be around much longer. I love the prairie. I love to travel. I love history and culture. I live to explore!

 

My inspirations are Montana frontier photographer Evelyn Cameron, Edward Weston's "Whitman Series", and Margaret Bourke White (especially her work featuring the Fort Peck Dam). Also, Andrew Wyeth's paintings.

I am not your personal tour guide! I work very hard using a gazetteer map, google maps and history books to find the places I photograph! I spend exorbitant amounts on gas money to get to these places, and my car is wearing out because of all the miles I put on it. So please, unless you're a good friend/contact of mine, do not ask for me to outright give you photo locations! Please use your own brain, not my flickr page, to find locations for yourself!
