Open City is part of the Cidade strand for Guimarães 2012. Exploring the concept of openness in relation to city development.

Watershed will be curating a series of live and digital interventions as well as think pieces which will explore the concept of Openness in relation to city development. Open Cities provides the opportunity for Guimarães to establish a leadership role for open city development. It is a knowledge exchange programme that will help to re-draw approaches to city-making and change the ways we plan, deliver services and engage communities. The Facebook page will be mostly used to support some of the live events we are organising. However, our website is where all the dialogue takes place.
