A commercial printer by trade I work for the Largest Canadian Commercial printer.
welcome to my JOURNEY..
In the early 80’s I shot a Minolta, Which I still have.I started taking picture of Landscapes and Family. Did a couple of weddings..Never do that again. I slowly lost interest and only took pictures of my family.
In 2008 I got my first digital Camera, a Rebel XT which I gave to my son and his wife six months later.. Soon I was wielding the new at that time a Canon 7D.
In 2010 I got my first serious lens..The new at that time Sigma 150 to 500. Combined with the Canon 7D it took what I thought was amazing wildlife photos. Also I purchased a Kayak. It was a lot cheaper than a longer lens and proved to be a lot of fun. It wasn't till 2014 when I purchased the new Canon 6D did I see the 7D Camera faults. In September 2016 I bought the Canon 5dm4.
I also in 2017 bought an Iphone11pro. This is such a great phone with a great Camera. I am enjoying experimenting with this as well.
Also in 2010 I joined Flickr The web based photo sharing social media. Here viewing others photos made me have a desire to improve my techniques. When ever I feel I am a good photographer I simply look at the photos I favoured and realize I have so much to learn yet.
In 2010 I joined the Owen Sound Camera club. Everyone there are wonderful, lots of great talent and encouragement.
In July 2014 I put together my first photo shoot. Involving a Local Hot Rod, and a young woman I befriended who was up for a shoot. Later on we went downtown and shot at the old post office in a Marilyn Monroe outfit. I had an entourage of friends and family to help out. Without them that would have never had been pulled off.
I am known for my landscape and wildlife photos. So my journey continues. As much as I have journeyed through equipment as my skill improves so does my technique. On these pages are a few of what I consider my best. The theme is Journey.
These photos are for your enjoyment.
Each year I wonder how can it get my photography get any better, but it does.
Hopefully you’ll find something in my photo stream that’s a little pleasing to your eyes. Enjoy and thanks.
Thanks for the viewing
