Quit the job (that I actually liked) back in May 2005, sold everything, and checked out. Travelled at an incredibly slow pace for 15 months (without a tripod), stopped in the UK for a few years of work again, then took off to Africa on a climbing trip ending in Turkey. After that, faffed around a bit, cycled in eastern Europe, returned home for a 9 month gig and then went to Paris for another 9 month gig. After about 5 years of bouncing around like this, have finally made it back home to Seattle... and dealing with "re-entry." Let's see if I can make it past 9 months!
