“My slogan is Simple. Subtle. and my approach could be described that way. I love natural lighting, even in low lit situations. The richer color, softness and depth, even the limitations like added noise and soft edges pull me in. I love the natural “problems” that arise in a shoot, such as light interference, glare, noon shadows, dappled shade, and instead of hiding them or “fixing” them I like to use them – almost feature them to add drama, texture, interest or to frame a shot.

I use backdrops to frame and feature the content of my shot rather then making the background the focus, this means I often find and use unusual locations for a shoot rather then a scene that looks beautiful or interesting right off the cuff.

I love styled shoots where props are actually relevant to the theme and where we create a setting with the details, wardrobe and hair that tie everything together.
