Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile page!

It's a privilege to be a part of the Flickr community. I have learnt so much from my experience here, often just from appreciating other peoples' photos, but also from the valuable feedback I receive on my own posts.

I am a travel obsessive. When I first set out on long trips, I soon realised that blogging wasn't for me. I invested in a DSLR as a means to record and share my travel experiences.

It is wonderful to be able to follow other peoples' travel adventures through Flickr and share experiences.

I took the plunge in 2011, quitting my office job and embarking on an 18 month journey across Latin America, starting in Buenos Aires and finishing in Mexico City in December 2012.

Kids in Regalos de Dios, Medellin

Along the way I volunteered with a number of NGOs, including a 6 month stint with a fantastic project called Angeles de Medellin which works within a community of families who have been displaced by the Colombian civil war. You can view my photo gallery here.

Childhood Poverty

Subsequently, I spent time exploring Southeast Asia. I began in January 2013 with a 3 week cycle trip across northern Thailand and into Laos. Later, I spent time visiting Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia, where I worked for 2 years as an English teacher.
