Hello, my name is Olivia, or Via for short. Olive-Route is a design and letterpress studio based in Berkeley, California. My work consists of (but not limited to) wedding invitations, stationery, personal announcements, and art prints.

I opened up shop in 2005 after apprenticing for another Berkeley designer and printer, David Lance Goines of St. Hieronymous Press, who is well-known for the posters he has produced for restaurant, Chez Panisse. It was by fortunate circumstance that I visited his shop and fell in love with the press. I realized that what I also wanted was to have my own shop, design, and print my own work.

Again, by fortunate circumstance, David and I found a space as we were walking to get coffee. It happens to be 2 doors down from his. I find that once you set up shop in Berkeley, you tend to never leave. I'm in great company, so hopefully, I too get to do this for another 30 years...
