Why all these Beloit area scenes, landmarks and landscapes? I started doing this over 20 years ago, even before there was a Flickr. My goal then was to find a way to create positive feelings, memories, and outlook for our city and its surrounding area. I wanted to display the beauty in our area that we, as locals, often overlook or don't appreciate. For so many years, there was much negativity in our community and way too much in the news media. Nowadays, in the waning years of the 2020's, thanks to a renewed community spirit, and a benevolent billionaire, Beloit is mostly past that. And the proof is obvious for all to see.

Let these photos speak to the present and our past, and always remember to live the life you want the future to bring.
