Flickr PRO and proud since 2008

 

BUT...

 

Flickr has changed since May 2013. We don't like Ms. MM "there's no such thing as a professional photographer these days" - what an insult to the professionals that produce such great work - but we can't change her

 

We continue to load items, but now with the plethora of photographic devices the family carry with them, this Flickr photostream has "downgraded" into a pure Photoblog. Lack of time prevents improvements to our commenting, labelling, indexing and tagging, never mind some decent cropping and post-production.

 

If you like Quantity over Quality you will be happy.

If not, sorry. But here we are...

 

Start reading at ARCHIVES and you should get a feel of what this photoblog is about.

 

More people take more photos than at any other time in human history.

 

By the time you've finished reading this page, more photos will have been uploaded to Flickr than you've ever taken in your life.

So what is this?

 

Great photos? No - maybe 1 shot on every page is OK and 1 shot every 10 pages is a "Wow!" shot.

 

Photoblog? Yes - it wasn't planned this way, but now it is.

 

There's a few errors on the EXIF data and still several shots not in Sets and many Sets not in Collections, but basically, this has become a Photoblog.

Hi, Hallo, Hola, Hoi and Salut tout le monde.

 

Welcome to the most Amateur Camera Team on Flickr.

We are a mixed-race and mixed-nationality (Anglo-Colombian) couple.

 

In line with the original aim of Flickr, we use this site to share eclectic shots of our exciting (sometimes), demanding (always), routine (of course) life with relatives and friends worldwide from Japan to USA via Switzerland and the Peoples' Republic of Manchester.

Old = Combined ages nearly 100 which is definitely Old.

Manc = Manchester.

 

Our Roots

 

Mr R - born and bred in the Republic of Mancunia 50+ Years ago.

 

Mrs R - born and bred in Cali, Valle, Colombia 40+ Years ago.

Now...we have phones and tablets as well.

We are not anti-mobile phones per se, and the quality has improved exponentially in the past 10 years:

 

 

But we are still Nikon Fans, thanks to the influence of an amateur photographer from Ruislip, England - Mike B, it's all your fault!

 

Our best photographic advice?

"RTFM" Read your camera's manual. Every page.

And put your camera where you can't put your face!

Always appreciate your Comments, especially on how to take better photos:

  

FAVOURITES

Don't favourite all the children and/or wife shots without comments. Go see a Doctor. Really, that makes us feel uncomfortable - especially the children shots.

It will lead to blocking.

 

Cropping and Editing

 

WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get. We rarely crop and/or edit our results.

 

But if you want to, go for it, but let us know if you want to repost elsewhere as some have done.
