Older & Bolder began when five NGOs came together in late 2006 to campaign for a commitment to the development of a national strategy on ageing. The campaign was successful and the 2007 Programme for Government incorporated a promise to develop a National Positive Ageing Strategy. With continued funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies, Older & Bolder has evolved as an alliance comprising seven members with a shared vision and purpose.
