I am new to photography. I always liked to take photos, but I was too busy to deal with it. Some months ago, I decided it was the time to grab the camera and discover the world of photography.
My earlier pictures were taken with Panasonic DMC-LC50. It was a good compact camera with limited manual settings.
The next camera I had was Cannon PowerShot SX10, which opened new world for me. I like this excellent camera. I suppose it was the best choice for me at that time, when I was very new to photography. It has given me to taste of different type of capturing such as macro, landscape photography and so on.
I liked to capture beauty. My favorite subject was nature, especially landscapes.
I received a Canon 500D camera for my birthday. It was indeed new experience to use a DSLR after a bridge camera. I met new challenges and new possibilities. The unexpected challenge was the attack against our budget. My old tripod did not work with my new camera. I had to change it. I do not even want to talk about the lenses...
Thanks to friends’ and users’ comments on my shots, I realized why some of my photos seem empty. I still like to capture beauty. However, I want my shots to contains feelings, too. I try to improve. Therefore, I am very thankful for your comments.
I also have a vintage Russian camera, Lubitel 166. It is a medium format camera working with films. It is interesting to work with Lubitel 166, which does not have any automatic helper function. I have to admit I use my Panasonic camera to determinate the proper aperture value and shutter time. :)
My newest companion is an old camera, the Canon 300 (Rebel 2000). Taking photographs on films is very different experience. Now, I have a problem. I have to decide which camera to take when I go to photograph. :)
Now, I have the following accessories:
- Canon 18-55/F3.5-5.6 EF-S IS,
- Canon 28-80/F3.5-5.6 EF II,
- Canon 50/F1.8 EF II,
- Canon 55-250/F4-5.6 EF-S IS,
- Canon 75-300/F4-5.6 EF III,
- Canon Speedlite 580 EX II,
- Canon Speedlite 430 EX II,
- Manfrotto 190XPROB Pro tripod and Manfrotto 808RC4 head,
- Different filters (Hoya UV, Warm, CPL and ND8) 52mm and 58mm,
- HQ mini studio kit.
I almost had reflectors and tripods for them. But, I ordered them from the British company ExpressPro. It was big mistake as ExpressPro decided to steal my money and not to deliver anything. Be aware and do not order anything from ExpressPro until you have much money to waste!
Have a nice day with excellent light for taking photos,
Öki
