I started at 10-12 years old to follow my father in his hobby of taking photos in black and white, with a Contaflex: Zeiss Tessar 45mm 1: 2.8 lens which he developed with me in the bathroom at home. His serious health problems led us away from this hobby that I took up again only later, now alone, but always with his camera photo. Some years later my mom let me buy a wonderful Pentax MX (with a 55mm f / 1.8) with which I took many photos, until I discovered the Nikon FE2.

I am strongly astigmatic and for this reason I immediately appreciated the sharpness of the Nikon 50mm f / 1.4.

My subsequent and equally very serious health problems, again blocked me. Only 3 years later I got my life back.

I started again at first with the FE2 and then, with the arrival of digital, with the Olympus Camedia C-1400 L. After a while, the Fuji Finepix S2 Pro, with its 6 megapixels, made me return the passion.

The photos have always been of landscapes, nature and travels photos. Always without technical attention to composition, with the sole intention of capturing everything I liked: nature is the most beautiful thing life gives us.

As soon as the Nikon D100 came out, I returned to Nikon, a brand that attracted me for the sharpness of the lenses and then for the idea that, in case of need, I can rely on Nital in Turin.

I took optics that I used until few years ago with my D300, but one day a mine good friend took me to take photos of birds.

Admiring varieties with fantastic colors (Merops apiaster) and incredible behaviors (Kingfisher) made me explode the passion and the need for quick shooting sequences. With my wife's OK I bought the D850 and the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens which, however, after several photographic failures, I realized I had to fix for its front back focus.

I took many photos in natural oases: initially as they were portrayed, but now I feel the need to set creatures in their natural context.

When I left the world of work, I wanted to improve my technique. I have started using post production programs that I am still learning about, and I am also trying to improve the composition technique, following videos on YouTube and a few books.

Now I have the desire to get involved and present my photos to others. Also hearing the criticisms because these criticisms help me to see aspects that I do not yet know. These are the reasons why I came to Flickr and its groups.

Obviously I thank everyone.
