i make one-of-a-kind purses and pillows which incorporate artwork scanned onto fabric, collaged and embellished. My images come from vintage books, magazines, postcards, album covers--all sorts of paper ephemera that I've collected for years. Lately I have been using my own photos of old Chicago buildings which have intriguing names carved over their doorways--old-fashioned women's names (Delphine, Roxana) and titles (Perfection, The Envoy, The Shakespeare). Many of my works are commissions, utilizing my clients' favorite images .
